This alpine-inspired gin introduces a crisp, evergreen brightness from native Montana spruce tips and a traditional blend of botanical flavors. Subtle oak notes from a brief rest in ex-bourbon barrels lend warmth and depth, softening the juniper and allowing each botanical to shine. The result is a balanced, nuanced spirit that evokes fresh mountain air and gentle woodland aromas.

Distillers Notes

Native Montana spruce tips accent a traditional blend of juniper, coriander, orris root, lemon zest, cardamom, angelica, and grains of paradise in our alpine expression of this classic botanical spirit. We then let the spirit rest in an ex-bourbon barrel where it picks up flavors and color from the oak. The result is a complex gin where the crisp flavor of the juniper is softened by the barrel and given time to integrate with the supporting cast of botanicals.

Evergreen Cocktails

A few cocktail suggestions that we can’t get enough of.

In a shaker:

1 oz Glacier Distilling Gin

1 oz Pomegrante puree

.5 oz Organic agave

Fresh lime, squeezed

Shake and strain into martini glass

Garnish with spanked sage

Gin Sling

Bear Schmutz

In a shaker:

1 oz Gin

1.5 oz Blueberry nectar

Lime wedge, squeezed

5 drops black pepper bitters

Ice

Shake and strain into martini glass

Garnish with spanked sage and one solid crack of fresh ground pepper

In a shaker:

Muddle one wedge of lime, one wedge of grapefruit and a few dashes orange bitters

Add ice

1 oz Glacier Distilling Gin

Shake

Dump into rocks glass

Top with ginger beer and float of Glacier Distilling Pear eau de vie

Garnish with lime wheel

The Equinox

In a rocks glass:

Add ice

.5 oz Trail of the Cedars Absinthe, swirling to coat ice and inside of glass

Top with grapefruit soda (we use San Pellegrino)

Add a float of Little Cottonwood liqueur

Garnish with fresh lemon

Northern Lights

In a shaker:

Add 1 oz Glacier Distilling Vodka

.5 oz Mint simple syrup

Lime wedge, squeezed

Ice

Shake and dump into juice mason

Top with Dry Cucumber Soda

Garnish with spanked mint

To make mint simple:

In a pot, dissolve 2.5 cups sugar with 2.5 cups water. Bring to a boil. Turn off heat. Add 4 oz fresh mint. Let steep for 30 minutes. Strain and cool for serving.
