Bourbon Whiskey with Cherry Brandy Liqueur
Proof: 40% Alc. by Vol. (80 Proof)
Fireweed is a perennial flower that is often the first to grow in areas ravaged by fires, lending its beauty to the charred fallows. Our Fireweed whiskey is a rugged bourbon barreled in charred oak and lent a subtle sweetness from a Montana cherry brandy that we distill from sun-kissed cherries grown on the hills overlooking Flathead Lake. It is a blend of the old and the new; of the savory and the sweet/of the strength and beauty of our lands.
Sizes: 750ml, 375ml, 50ml
Distillers Notes
A Flathead cherry bourbon, this is the perfect marriage of two barrels. The bourbon has a nose of vanilla with hints of spice, and the perfectly balanced brandy adds a slight sweetness. Five pounds of Flathead cherries packed into each bottle!
Fireweed Cocktails
A few cocktail suggestions that we can’t get enough of.
In a juice mason:
1 oz Fireweed
Ice
Fill with rosemary lemonade
Garnish with spanked rosemary
To make rosemary lemonade: In a pot dissolve 4 cups sugar with 4 cups water. Bring to a boil. Turn off heat and add about 3 oz fresh rosemary. Let steep for 30 minutes. Strain rosemary out of simple. Put simple into one-gallon container. Add 1 quart of lemon juice. Top container with water. Shake/stir well before serving. (Yields one gallon.)
Fire in the hold
In a rocks glass:
1 oz Fireweed
1 oz Golden balsamic raspberry shrub
Stir
Add Ice
